 SHOVEL

I know you are wondering why in the world is  the pastor writing about a long handled device used in moving dirt or debris. Well I am not! I am working through the event of letting go of a person  who is very near and dear to my soul. Our church family has been impacted by the life of a dear lady  who the community and the church called Shovel. Most ladies would be offended and troubled by that nickname but she loved it. It was given by a child who could not pronounce her maiden name Lovell so hence she became Shovel.

She started this race as Elana Lovell and finished as Shovel the wife of Tom the friend of most everyone she met. Her passion was  evident she was a servant and it was hard not to see that in every action she endeavored upon. I wonder if everyone has folks to fill their shoes? If so they are a size 19 extra wide . Heaven has received another one  that Jesus had prepared for his home as she gently slipped into that location. Now He  has a Shovel and we don't, he always wins that one.

She was the girl at our church that could get'r done!!! As she worked through liver failure she got that done as well, and Tuesday evening June 1st what was once

faith became sight and she went so wonderfully from here to him. I am so touched by all who visited and ministered to her and Tom you guys are wonderful and I love you for what you have done. I will never be the same for knowing Shovel Stanley!!!!!!!

God Bless You

Pastor Stacy Dyer.
